In 1993, a group of curlers got together to form the Coyotes Curling Club with the promise that if there were not enough people, each of us would put in money to cover the cost and make it work. With the support of our members and the community, we are now ready to make a big and scary move to dedicated curling ice!!
After not much deliberation (due to cost), we have decided to follow along with the Columbus / Evergreen Curling Clubs model's. This means leasing a warehouse/office space and converting to a curling club. We start with the premise that all we need is ice and a room to look at the ice, with a tear in our eye after curling on an arena for 10 and 1/2 years. All the other wants after that come as funds, time and help become available.
This blog is a way for us to keep our members up to date on our progress as well as anyone else who is interested. Please feel free to leave comments and ask questions.
